| Kalady being the birth place of the great Advaita philosopher Adi Shankara, is an important pilgrim center of Kerala. The major touist attractions in Kalady Kerala is the Sri Sankara temple. Besides the Sri Sankara temple which is like a tower, there are temples dedicated to Sarada Devi, Sri Krishna and Sri Ramakrishna. It is believed that the deity at the old Sri Krishna temple is installed by Adi Sankara himself. lf. Kaladi is located in the banks of the Periyar Lake. |
