Palakkad Fort |
Palakkad fort was built by Hyder Ali of Mysore in 1784.The fort is now known in his son's name - Tippu Sultan. There is jail functioning in the fort now. The fort is the best place one loves to spend his evenings. The serene, calm and breezy atmosphere is really soothing. There is also a children’s park that adds cheer to the surroundings.

The 500 year old Jain Temple believed to be built by the Jain head of the time is 3 Kms from the city. It is situated on the banks of the river Kalpathy.Inside the temple in different divisions you can find the idols of the Jain sages like Chandranathswam, Jwalamohini, Vijayalaxmi etc.
